Croquet Sport


A 
croquet set has six mallets six balls nine wickets and two steaks the croquet 
field is setup with a stake.



At each end 
of the field two wickets are placed in front of each stake towards the center of the field here the starting stake is being placed with the first two wickets on the other end of the field the turning stake is being placed with two wickets also being placed a wicket is placed in the center of the field the remaining four wickets are placed to Form a double diamond pattern on the field the official croquet field is 100 feet long and 50 feet wide.





The Objective of Croquet:

The basic 
objective in croquet is to advance the balls around the lawn using a mallet to score a point for each hoop made in the correct order and direction the first team to score six hoop points and then finish by scoring one peg point for each of its balls wins the game the winning team has to 
score 
14 points in total to win the game. 
Rues of Croquet:

1. Two sides play against each other.

2. One side has the black and blue balls and the other side has red and yellow balls.

3. The sides can consist of one player per side or two players per side.

4. In the game the players take turns and only one plays at a time.
5. To set up the field place the peg 
in the center of the area.
6. Equidist from the peg four hoops are 
placed to form a rectangle of 10.5 meters by seven meters.
7. The rest of the two hoops are 
placed on the longer central line bisecting the rectangle making sure each is 3.5 meters from the peg.
8. Make sure that all hoops are 
parallel to the shorter side of the rectangle.
9. The launch should be around 17.5 
meters by 14 meters and the boundary is defined by flags or markers.

10. The game begins with a coin 
toss to decide which side will go first.
11. The side which wins the toss decides 
whether to go first or second.
12. The side which loses the 
toss gets to choose which pair of balls they will start with.
13. The game begins in front of the 
first hoop one meter inside the boundary.
14. The side which decides to go first 
hits either of their balls into the lawn followed by the other team.

15. It's necessary that all four balls are played in the first four turns
16. Before taking their turn each team 
decides which ball to play first
17. For example if the teams 
choose to play the red and yellow then at the beginning of each turn the team will get to choose whether to play red or yellow.

ote that the team is only allowed to hit the ball of the color that they choose in the beginning of the turn.

 turn only consists of a single shot unless the team earns extra shots.

20. It is necessary that you cleanly strike the ball with either end face of the mallet but with no other part.

21. You are not allowed to move the hoops or the pegs to play your shot.
22 .The ball is immediately moved from 
the lawn if a ball hits the peg.
23. The peg point is when the ball has 
scored the six hoop points in order and then hits the peg .

24. A side wins the game by scoring six hoop points for each ball and then hitting the peg with both balls
25 It's also possible for you to win the 
game by hitting the peg with each ball in two separate turns.
