Throw greetings fellow athletes today we're talking about the  Olympic discus throw rules let's start.


Objective in Discus throw:

1. In this game 
the athlete is required to throw a discus of one to two kilograms into the air as far as possible within the prescribed zone
2. The athlete spins oneself around to 
gain momentum and finally throws the discus in the air.

scoring is done in terms of measurement.
2. The measurement of each throw is 
conducted immediately following the attempt.
3. An attempt is measured from the 
nearest mark of the discus inside the circumference of the circle.

Rules of Discus throw

1. The discus can 
be made of any material such as wood but it must have a circular edge with a metallic rim.

2. The inner 
construction of the discus can be both solid and hollow.

3. It's necessary that the 
cross section of the edge should be made  in a circular manner and it should have a radius of six millimeters.

4. The discus 
must be free from any type of sharp edges or irregularities
5. It should be made sure that all 
sides of the discus are identical.

6. The discus must have 
smooth finishing.

7. It should be made sure that 
the cage where the athletes play must have the strength to arrest a disc of around two kilos coming at a speed of 25 meters a second.
8. All threats of rebounding off the 
discus from the cage must be eliminated.

9.  The cage should 
be constructed in a u-shape the cage should have at least one side open.
10. At the lowest point the height of 
the netting should be 4 meters.
11. Although it's recommended that the 
cage should be constructed with 
synthetic and natural fiber 
it can be constructed with high tensile 
strength steel wires.
12 . The discus can only be thrown by an 
athlete when he or she will stand inside a circle which has a diameter of 2.5 meters.
13. During the course of the throw the 
athletes are prohibited from touching the top of the rim however they can touch the inner part of the rim.
14. T
ouching the ground beyond the circle is prohibited for the athlete.
15.If the athlete leaves the circle 
before the landing of the disc on the ground then it will be considered a foul throw.
16. In the Olympic matches each athlete 
is given 8 chances to showcase their talents.
17. There is a particular boundary of 
the landing of the disc if the disc lands outside that zone then that throw is considered invalid.
18. If the discus lands beyond the 
boundaries of the zone 
then the throw is counted as invalid
